How it started

Hands-on Art is founded in the year we will all never forget. Sometimes it takes a crisis to know what you want to do with your life.

The worldwide pandemic and following lockdowns made founder Laura Latacz discover art therapy as an effective way to keep her own sanity in times of quarantine and social distancing.

Ever since she was small she loves to draw, paint, build, and work with her hands. She has been always attracted to the arts and the beneficial effect it has on her.

Laura grew up in the Flemish part of Belgium. She has a Master in Communication Sciences and has been working throughout the years in marketing roles where consumer psychology played a big role. She lived in bustling cities like Berlin and Zurich. Currently she lives with her family in the beautiful town of Zug, Switzerland.

In 2020 Laura realised that life is short and that she wants to do what she loves most and what she is best at. With Hands-on Art Therapy she wants to help people the same way as she was helped with art therapy. Laura is a certified creative art therapist who graduated from the IEK Berlin (Institut für Entspannungstechniken & Kommunikation).

It is Laura's vision to create a community that brings art therapists/coaches and people together from all over the world, and makes the healing benefits of art therapy more accessible and known to a larger number of people. Laura envisions art therapy as wellness for the soul.

"Art makes you see things from a different angle."
